We innovate to perpetuate the great history of wine
Passionate about the art and culture of wine, aware of the urgency of environmental and societal challenges, and convinced that enlightened innovation must serve the common good, we want to use our know-how and strengths to serve the sustainable development of the wine sector.
We have long been committed to the environment and are now firmly engaged towards energy transition! Reducing our direct greenhouse gas emissions by half means participating at our own level in the international objectives to combat climate change, but it also means preparing for a world where energy will be increasingly scarce and expensive.

Our priority commitments
Innovation
DNA of our know-how
Since its creation, Diam Bouchage devotes significant human resources and financial means to research and development. Equipped with a laboratory covering over 300m² and an in-house Enological Hub, the company works with the most renowned universities around the world on its project studies and the development of new products. Further to the continuous improvement of the economic and environmental performances of its manufacturing processes, the company has, for several years, focused on 3 main lines of research in order to meet tomorrow’s challenges for the winemaking sector.
Preserving the forest
at the heart of our sustainable economy
Cork oak forests represent particularly fragile ecosystems that are increasingly being impacted by a gradual abandonment of exploitation. By engaging Diam Bouchage as a stakeholder in the preservation of this ecosystem, we are protecting access to this raw material and preserving it in the long term. We have been working with forestry professionals for over ten years to support the cork forests of the Mediterranean, and have established a policy of responsible purchasing and support with our partners to protect, revitalise and promote cork.
Carbon footprint
an ambitious trajectory
After being the first cork manufacturer to undertake an assessment of its greenhouse gas emissions in 2007, in mid-2021 we committed to a carbon trajectory that involves reducing our footprint by 15% by 2025.
This objective is in line with the W2DS (Well below 2 degrees) trajectory of the international SBTI approach. Numerous high-impact actions have been undertaken that illustrate the company’s genuine environmental culture: controlling energy consumption, improving traffic flows, revitalization of cork oak forests, raising employee awareness, etc.
Equality - Diversity
an inclusive corporate culture
In collaboration with the Group's Equality-Diversity referents Oeneo Group, Diam Bouchage introduced an Equality-Diversity Charter in 2022. Today, it is a key element of our commitment to combat all forms of inequality, from recruitment to working life. The Charter reflects our desire to promote an egalitarian, inclusive working environment that respects diversity. Following its adoption, a number of initiatives were launched, such as the creation of the Harassment & Discrimination protocol, the distribution of the Parenthood guide, and the roll-out of awareness-raising workshops on disability in the workplace.
Would you like to recycle your corks?
Since 2019, Diam Bouchage has been a partner of the Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne (CIVC) and the Epsyvin association for the collection and recycling of used corks in the Champagne-Ardenne region. In 2020, we provided our customers in the Champagne region with collection points for corks. The corks are then grouped together at our Cumières plant before being sent for recycling. A similar initiative has also been set up in Gironde with our partner Agir Cancer Gironde, in 2021.
